English

Some examples of our assignments:

Final Poem
This is the final poem I wrote for our Poetry unit. It was pretty fun///

Biopoem
A poem about me sounding super narcissistic.

Poems about Sleep and Snow
I liked these two poems the most.
(Probably because I got good grades on them but you didn't need to know that.)

English is one of my favorite classes, and is one of the more interesting subjects to learn about. Right now, we're learning about how to analyze and write poetry. One thing I like about Ms. Hefler's class is that we're tested (almost) weekly on grammar, and punctuation.

Some examples of our assignments:
China Cornell Notes
Notes I did with Natalie, Kimana, and Hannah.
"Quote, but why?" -Natalie
"Save me a spot." -Hannah
"LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINeSS, TO DEFEAT THE HUNS" -Kimana

Martin Luther Caption This & Comment
An assignment we did that I got a good grade on.

Splitting of the Christian Church
A diagram summarizing some of the history of the Christian Church.

History is my favorite subject (debating whether art or history is my favorite class). Currently in History, we're writing a personal essay about ourselves focusing on an obstacle we have difficulty coping with; then, we talk about that certain obstacle and discuss about how using one or more of Jackie Robinson's Nine Values helps us overcome our barrier.
Bonus: Who is Jackie Robinson? On April 15, 1947, Jackie Robinson was the first African American to break the color barrier of Major League Baseball (Double bonus: Jackie Robinson was a professional baseball second baseman).
